About

I have spent most of my life in the Magic Valley, with a few years away before returning home more than 20 years ago. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for honesty, integrity, and fairness—always putting Twin Falls residents first.

Before being elected County Assessor, I carried on my family’s home building and land development business, upholding the reputation my father built over 50 years. That experience gave me practical knowledge of construction costs, land markets, and property values—insight that continues to benefit taxpayers today. As Assessor, I’ve worked to make our office efficient, accurate, and service-oriented. For eight years, we’ve met every deadline, passed every state ratio study, and delivered fair assessments residents can trust.

Service has always been at the heart of my life. I’ve had the privilege of leading the Homebuilders Association, the Developers Council, serving on the Business Plus board, and contributing to several City of Twin Falls committees. These experiences strengthened relationships across business and education—connections that continue to serve taxpayers well.

Above all, I’m a husband, father, and grandfather. My wife, Lucy, and I are blessed with three sons and seven grandchildren. We treasure time together and enjoy all that the Magic Valley offers. Serving as County Assessor is a privilege, and I remain committed to leading with integrity, fairness, and accountability for every resident of Twin Falls County.

Why I'm Running

I am seeking re-election as Twin Falls County Assessor because I want our office to continue providing the honesty, consistency, integrity, and fairness that have guided us over the past eight years. During my tenure, the Assessor’s Office has become more efficient and effective, consistently meeting every state requirement while delivering assessments residents can trust.

A key part of my commitment is ensuring equality for all Twin Falls County property taxpayers. Every assessment is done with accuracy, transparency, and fairness so that no one receives special treatment—everyone is treated with the same respect and accountability.

I am proud of the team we’ve built. By promoting dedicated employees into supervisory roles, we’ve ensured the office is led by people who share my vision of service. Together, we put taxpayers first in every decision we make. Serving this community is an honor, and I ask for your continued trust and support to keep building on this record of service.

Pillars

Experience as a Strength, Not a Conflict

I know the market because I’ve lived it. Before becoming Assessor, I spent decades as a builder and developer, carrying forward my family’s business and reputation for quality and integrity. That work gave me unmatched knowledge of construction costs, land markets, and property values. Today, that experience makes me better at interpreting sales, understanding improvements, and anticipating local market trends. Voters deserve an Assessor who knows the market inside and out—and I bring that depth of expertise directly to the taxpayers I serve.

Relationships That Benefit Taxpayers

Strong community relationships are not a conflict—they are a resource that benefits everyone. My connections with title companies, builders, and developers allow our office to access accurate information quickly, which improves both assessments and mapping. Realtors and appraisers know they can rely on the professional, knowledgeable staff I’ve built, and that trust ensures smoother processes for property owners. These partnerships strengthen the office’s ability to serve taxpayers fairly, efficiently, and transparently.

A Track Record of Trust and Results

The best evidence of my leadership is the record itself: eight years of accurate, fair assessments and an office that consistently delivers results taxpayers can trust. Under my leadership, we have met every deadline, passed every state ratio study, and provided service that puts residents first. If conflicts of interest were a concern, there would be a history of controversy or reprimands—but instead, there is a record of fairness, integrity, and results. Taxpayers deserve an Assessor with a proven record of competence and accountability—and that is what I will continue to provide.
